Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Ditte Schupp spent her childhood at the Theater Castle Maßbach in Lower Franconia. This is where her mother worked as a set designer and her father as both actor and director. With such a background, she began acting, singing and performing at an early age. She attended the New Munich Acting School from 1982-1985 and graduated in 1985. Next came various engagements at city theaters throughout Germany , a spell with an international street theater group and also experiences in experimental theater. She was cast in many TV films and cinema films, the latest being “Autistic Disco” (directed by Hans Steinbichler) that played in cinemas across Germany in 2007. Apart from her acting work, Ditte also works as a voice actress for commentaries, readings, radio plays as well as for commercials and films dubbed into German.
